The Rudbeckia, Coneflower or Black-eyed Susan is the symbol of encouragement and motivation. Here in Denmark it blooms so beautifully in the summer and all the way to the beginning of frost. And if there is something we need in the garden at that time, is encouragement.

Oh and then the Rudbeckia is the official state flower of Maryland since 1918. Pretty cool! And it even grows wild there which I would love to experience!
